FINAL REFLECTION

This is my last post in this english blog and I talk about my development. Batxillerat has been difficult and I consider that I have worked very hard. This blog is a good example of my effort. Even though if I had had more time would be better.

My english progress from 2008-2010:
My first e-mail: http://monicasporfolio.blogspot.com/2008/10/e-mail.html
My last composition: http://thenewform.blogspot.com/2010/05/hello-everybody-you-are-listening-to.htmltml

In those writings I can see my development during first and second Batxillerat. For example, the structure in my first e-mail is more simple and shorter than my last writting. Furthermore, the content is so different. In the first case the content is poor and in the second case is a little bit interesting although I did it in class and I didn't have any help.
About language there isn't nothing to say because these compositions are corrected by teachers and there aren't grammar mistakes. Moreover I think that my vocabulary increase in those years.

http://monicasporfolio.blogspot.com/2009/06/oral-presentation.html my first oral presentation, http://thenewform.blogspot.com/2010/03/oral-presentation.html my last presentation.

I think that my progress is more visible in the oral presentations. Firstly, the presentation of my firts oral presentation is not good because there are too much text in the power point. Instead the last presentation use only the necessary text.

Secondly, the content is interesant in both presentations, but in the second case I liked more the topic because it was my research project.

Finally, I think that my language has progress, especially in the pronunciation. Besides, we note that the text is more elaborate in the last one.

My English competence in 2010:

My favourite oral presentation is the first: http://thenewform.blogspot.com/2009/11/oral-presentation.html. I did this presentation with ariadna and I liked so much because the topic was really interesting and I could leant a lot with Ariadna. Also I think that all is so good, for example the power point or my pronuntiation.

And my best writting I think that is the human rights, I don't know, in my point of view, this compostion reflects my maturity.

But in general I'm so happy for all my post because are originals, and I put every effort that I could.

Bye!!

DIALOGUE

M-Hello everybody! You are listening to Monica’s program and today we talk with the last farmer from Catalonia.

M-Hi Joan! You’re in the program to talk about your job, a profession that is dying out. What do you think about that?

J-Hi Mònica, I think that to be a farmer is so easy but the reputation of this profession was fallen since 1960 when the Industrial Revolution began in Catalonia.

M-Oh, that’s a shame! Have you lived this change?

J- Yes, I was 13 years old and my father was a farmer.

M-Interesting… You can explain what was your way of life like before this change?

J-Yes, of course, life in these times was simpler. I remember that every day my father woke up when the birds sang, then he ate and all the day he worked with livestock. My father didn’t use machines because he thought that he didn’t need them.

M-Oh my god!! Without machines! And do you use the machines?

J-Of course, I love the machines because they make the work easier.

M-You weren't you bored all day in the field without cinema or shops?

J-No because I had to work all the time, and when the day is ended I was really tired!!

M-Well Joan, the time is over. I like so much talking with you about your profession.

J-Me too. Bye Mònica, it’s a pleasure talking with you.

My life

I was born in Sant Cugat, and when I was a child I live with my mother in Sabadell, because my parents separated when I was six months.

Until 7 years I went to the Carmelite religious school. In this school were very strict but I have a lot of friends. When my mother said that we were leaving I began to mourn. But when I moved I was very well because my mother could be with me.
The first years I went to el cor de Maria, in figueres. Then when I was 11 years I went in Castelló school and I liked so much!!
The last change that I have it was the pass to ESO. In first of Eso I was scared because I felt so small!!
Now I'm finishing Batxillerat and I will change again my life because I will move to Barcelona and I will start university studies.

These years of my life have been really special. I have formed as a person, I lived very intense moments, I fall in love and I have met many interesting people.

Now I'm going and I get a precious memory.

Thank you for those moments. All of yours are amazing!!
Mònica!:)

3. NEWS Rats top invasive mammals table

Brown rats are one of the most invasive mammals in Europe. Researchers have observed that these animals, along with sika deer and muskrats, were having the greatest ecological and economic impact. The scientists had developed a system for compared the impact of non-native species across the group of mammals.
I hate the rats, and when I saw this new I was horrorified because think that these rats may be all over the place!!!
Humans have caused major attacks against nature and this invasion of rats is an example. With our comunication we made that exotic animals invade other lands and extinction of native animals. We blame the rats, but the real culprit are us.

5 Place for visit before die.

You know that I love travel and I think that I have to visit 5 places before I die.

One of these places is Norway a magic place for their greend forests and their long rivers between cliffs, for example the Geiranger. Is a perfect place for unwind and only in the land, because you can see the aurora borealis. I imagine surrounded by nature and calm. My parents were for a month and made them short of how wonderful it was.

United States is a one of the wonders of the World for their crowd of cities, all very differents from each and special, for high skyscrapers, their sights... For exemple, New york, Las vegas, Los angeles, etc… One holidays here would be unforgettable.

Scotlan, a historic land, for their green fields with their mediaval castles and their scenery. I like so much sleep in a castle located near a cliff. I would also like to see natives playing the bagpipes to kilts.

Chinese wall, because is impressive for their size and their history. And also I would like to go in the cities of China because are very differents and its culture are really interesting!! It must be very curious to see the geyser or eat on the flor.

Australia is another place that I want visit. It is a wonderful and very exotic country. I would like to see koalas and kangaroos and the big desert, where you must feel so small. One thing that I love to do in Autralia is diving in the largest barrier reef.

Scusa ma ti chiamo amore!

This weekend I went to see "perdona si et dic amor" because my mother has read the books and she asked me to acompany.
This film is an adaptation from the book of the Italian Federico Moccia. In Italy it was opened in January of 2009.

Niki is a young woman who is in the last year of high school. Alessandro is a publisher of thirty-seven years-old who his gilfriend splited up with him.
One day Niki and Alessandro have and accident and he leaves her everymorning in the high school because her motorbyke is broken.
Alessandro and Niki fell madly in love and they live a passionate love story without thinking about all social conventions and prejudices.

In my opinion this film shows a real love story. My mother says that the book is better than the film because there are a lot of beautiful escenes that don't feature in the film. For example when is the Niki's birthday he pretends that he doesn't remember but actually has prepared a trip to Paris.

And as always my favourite scene is the end, because she goes with him to the lighthouse.

Therefore I recommend this movie for all those people who likes the love.

*By the way I loved the actor is very handsome!

Mònica :)

MY FIRST DAY IN LONDON! :)

Hello everybody!

Today I want to explain my first day in London. Firstly you can see my photos in the video and next you can read my expercience about this day.

As you can see at the pictures, we flew to London with a ryanair plane. When we arribed at the airport, we had to wait a long time because the poor Sergi has an Andorran nationality and in England they are very strict.

After travelling two hours by bus, we arrived at Royal National London hotel. We were very tired and we went to sleep.

The next day we woke up and we had breakfast at the hotel buffet. I didn't like breakfast because it was only bread with jam and butter.

Afterwards we walked to the British Museum. I liked so much the British Museum and with Rocio, Ariadna, Lauren, and Laura we took a lot of photos.

When we leave to de museum we went to coven garden and I ate McDonald's hamburgers with Lauren, Ariadna, Sergio, Rocio, Laura and Xavi in the street!! We ate in the street because it was so late and all the restaurants was fill. For this reason when we finish the hamburgers we went into Starbucks and we sit down in a comfortable sofa.

Then when we wanted to go with teachers we saw Jack Sparrow!!! and we took a photo with he.

After we visited the National Gallery museum but I was very tired and I didn't enjoy very much.

Finally we walked to picadilly circus and oxford street and we came into Hamleys, my favourite shop of toys.

Ariadna, Rocio, Lauren, Jake and me we returned to the hotel by taxi because we were weary. When we arrived at the hotel Rocio and I took pictures with a sweater that had bought us.

Afterwards we ate and we came to the bed waiting for the next day was just as well!
