National Geographic's Pictures

Well I had to choose an image but I had to choose two because are very beautiful!
These pictures are some of the winning photos of the national Geographic.

On the first picture we can see a child called Cary who this stands on a desert road. He's a lovely boy, his eyes are profound and the colour of his eyes is coordinate with the khaki t-shirt that he dressed. He has a pale skin and contrast with the red of his cheecks. The child have a calm expression but he stays serious.
The road
and in general the scenery is blur, because child is the principal of the photo.

This picture is caption by Lisa Roberts, but I think that the photoshop has contributed because the effect of blur is very difficult to take.

This is the second picture, it has drawn my attention because I see that the flawer isn't finished his growing. Its petals have an intense yellow, we can see that it is greener in the center, which makes this flower even more beautiful.

The background of image is blue and it's like a child picture because it has a blur effect.

This picture is taked by Richard Susanto on a sunny fall afternoon on Illinois.

The photo's information and the photos I take from this web page: http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/11/national_geographics_internati.html

New: Child tobacco farmers

This new talk about of children worldwide are thought to be working full-time on tobacco farms, suffering from toxic levels of nicotine exposure and abusive labor conditions.

This practice is an abusive work because the children are exposed in a very bad conditions. I don’t understand how the companies for money, can have the childrens in this situation! is very cruel, and while in the first world complain because the taxes of tobacco are high!! It’s increible, in these things I see that the human are very selfish!

And why the goverments do nothing? For the same thing, money. The money is one of the worst things that man has created. Overall I'm very disappointed with world because are very unffair.
I feel helpless because I can’t do anything, but well, I hope that someone can help this childs.

The power of photoshop and make-up

In the famous and glamorous world, the physical image is very important, in the magazines we can see perfect girls with beatyfull faces, but this image that the magazines shows is not the real image. The famous are not perfect Goods, they are humans with spots, wrinkles and flaws. How they get seem Afrodita?!

Well they don’t made a pact with the evil, is more simple than it looks, they using fotoshop and make up. Before that the photographer took a picture the model has make up after with photoshop the photographer removes wrinkles, brightens the picture, changes the eye color… and then published on the magazine If all is correct.

We should know that we aren’t perfect but the famous neither, simplement they show a false reality.

These pictures and this video shows the change that these processes do.

The lion King (flimreview)

The lion king is the best artwork of Walt Disney, the music and the gràfics are perfects, and it isn’t only for children because behind of the children’s characters there are a values like justice or love and all we can learn of them.

The fact that simba’s father dies, that is the lion king, the authority, makes the movie more exciting and sentimental. Is a film very human, we identificate with hem easily.

Also have big moments of humor with Timon and Pumba, that is shared songs that have become history like Hakuna Matata. Timon and Pumba are a characters that they know how to live the life, and he leave his worries and he have fun. They teach to Simba the value of life and that can’t be wasted.

This film theach that for everything is in order it’s it’s needs an authority that controls the bad and the good things, and this authority must be wise.

The music is very good, has a great musical value and fits with the scenes.
A musician that stands out is elton john that made song “can you feel the love tonight”

In conclussion, the lion king is my favorite Disney movie and I shared one of the best stages of my life, the Childhood.

can you feel the love tonight

The History of Metal

In 1969 , in birminham, England, the guitarist for the band Black Sabbath was working when he cut a finger. Black Sabbath was a band of blues, but after this accident, the guitarrist had a loosen of strings of his guitar. The sound was more heavy and this is a first metal. After there were new bands, and these bands perfecting the metal. In 1978 the metal was dying because the punk was fashionable. But in 1980 was the new wave of british metal , this wave was save the metal. In america also had a new moviment of metal, this moviment was a Thrash Metal. In conclusion, the marriage are very funny, but I think that should not have much sense , beacuse only shows the great consumerist world that we live.

Oral presentation

Well, once I saw my oral presentation, I think that in general is a good presentation but could improve some things.

For example, I've seen that I was wrong that I see the paper all the time, on the next presentation I will have to try not to bring paper.

Also I notes me a little nervous, and would have to make more gestures and hold the attention of my audience without stopping as (aaaaa, mmmm).

Finally, I should have used connectors and fillers, and I think that my pronunciation is compressive but it could improve in some words for example definitively.

P.D: I'm sorry but in this power point can't see the tittle that is laughter therapy.

Human Rights

The human rights are basic rights and freedoms that all humans in the world are entitled, it’s started on December of 1948 and there are 30 human rights.

An example of human rights is the article 22 that says: “Everyone, as a member of society, has the right to social security and is entitled to realization, through national effort and international co-operation and in accordance with the organization and resources of each State, of the economic, social and cultural rights indispensable for his dignity and the free development of his personality”

In my country the society are entitled to have social security, but for example in USA, the firstling power in the world, the people haven’t got this right, if you don’t have money and take a issue, you can’t go to the doctor. It’s very shocking, that the most important country, don’t have a medical service for his society!
Obama, the president of United Sates, a few months ago, he went to Spain and met Zapatero, the president of Spain, for talking and taking example and maybe copying the same Spanish system of our social security.

But the Social Security is a relative modern right, in the all world history, the medical service was a privilege for a rich group of society. Only the nobility access to the Doctor, other people, came with quack and prayed to God for cure them, and they could live or died.

In concussion, I think that in general term, society doesn’t give the importance that it would have human rights. The human rights are relevant only in developed countries, because in the in poor countries rich men take opportunity of the situation and setting up their businesses to leave them very cheaper, because people don’t ask more than just a piece of bread
The right to social security is an example of 30 human rights, all we have to know that we have rights so that they can fight for them.

My opinion about e-books

I don’t agree with the idea of electronic books. The education now is descreasing and I think that using these books will be worse.

In my opinion this learning method is not good for the level of students because when it will be the moment for writing without mistakes they won’t know because the computers and electronic systems correct the mistakes of spelling.

A part from that, experts says that the computer screen, to restraint over time, cause eye damage. And if now the education use e-books, when students become adults they will have to weigh glasses.

Another disadvantage is that with e-books is much easier to copy each other, with chats, all is possible.

Well in conclussion I think that is better the traditional education with pen and paper, would you like that your life consist just be writing to a computer?

Welcome mail

Hi, I'm Mònica in this e-mail I submit, but I won’t say the age or for example where I live because you already know, so try to define me as a person.
I am a little bit shy, but with my friends I’m extroverted therefore probably rather see me in class very happy.
The truth is I can't say what my qualities are that I have, I’m not a pessimistic person with low self-esteem, but I think that there isn’t anything that I do perfect but I think that in general I do the things pretty well.

I am happy because I have my family and friends who support me, I have no problems with the studies and although my life is pretty routine and try to get out of the routine light my way.
I love to laugh and have fun, either with friends or with parents and I hate uncertainty, I don’t like, for example, when someone comes home without telling us first.
One of my Hobbies apart from reading is travelling, this year I went to Germany in the area of Babiera. It's absolutely pretty! everything is green, the people are very civilized and generally you can communicate with English!
If I am studying Batxillerat is because I would like to go to university for study psychology, my father doesn’t like the idea because it says there isn’t work, but is my decision and love psychology, it is a way of learning what I am like. Thank you for your time.

Good Bye teacher! See you soon :)
